No prior qualifications are necessary to enroll in our postpartum doula course. However, a birth doula training or equivalent experience is extremely helpful. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds who are passionate about supporting families during the postpartum period.
The course is either an online only or in-person only session. The online classes take place twice a week in the evenings for 2 hours. You will need a computer, quiet place to learn and Zoom.
The in-person session is a weekend of 8 hours each day.
Not yet. Our postpartum doula course has a pending application for continuing education units to ensure that our curriculum meets high standards of quality and professionalism.
Not exactly. Students will move through some parts of the certification process during the 4-week or 2 day course. There will be other parts that you can complete at your own pace after the course ends through the certification group (costs $120).
When you enroll, the goal is to receive daily support as you achieve certification as a Certified Professional Postpartum Doula, which is recognized nationally.
